Deep diving in knowledge
At Dalarna's Museum, we run several in-depth projects by collaborating with universities and other knowledge institutions.
On the first of August 2017, the new Museums Act came into force, which applies to both state, regional and municipal museums. It clarifies the museums' purpose and responsibilities as knowledge-building institutions. Among other things, it says about the museums' role in research and other skills development activities in various areas.
We have an antiquarian who is pursuing doctoral studies in musicology and we have more PhD researchers who are involved in understanding our activities and our cultural areas. Here you can read more about our research and in-depth projects.
